Big. Not bad.
I thought I wouldn't like this place, but it's OK. Anyplace you can dance on a Monday night has got to be good. Karaoke is enjoyable. They have drink specials! Cheap! The staff is friendly. And the multiple bars keep things interesting. I didn't go on a weekend, so it may be different then, but during the week this is fine.
Gay Bar?????
It used to be a fun place but now is now a ghetto trashy hole in the wall. The new updated bar looks great and Gerty the bartender is awesome but the clientele sucks. I think they have new owners because the drinks have def. gone downhill. You used to be able to get strong drinks but now they pour like European bars. I've heard there are supposed to be upgrades but haven't seen much improvement. Hopefully they will make a comeback but it doesn't look good.
No longer a gay bar
The 90's was a popular gay bar, but now caters to a wide variety of drunks, thugs, derelicts. I has recently been remodeled and you will find gays people there it is not what it was. The 90's never used a shotglass to pour and that combined with low prices has drawn in the least desirable people in a downtown filled with undesirables. The last time I visited to see the remodel and promptly left feeling unsafe in such a zoo. The most police calls of any establishment downtown.
Used to be fabulously wonderful!
We have been going to the Gay 90's for many, MANY years! It used to be fabulously wonderful however there are now so many str8s that we prefer to go the other REAL gay bars in this great city
Not as Bad As all that......
Yes this place is run down and a little ghetto but the crowd is very interesting and very diverse.The drag shows are very good.I love the back bar on the first floor you have to go through the men's room to access it.it'scool sleazy fun.
