HOW TO GET TO THE STUDIO:
Stand in front of the Smitten Kitten. Look forward. Across the parking lots is a green OM. That's where we are!
Rope can be dangerous, and it's easier to make mistakes when in an altered mind state, so we request that participants refrain from drugs and alcohol before attending the workshop.
We are requiring active participants only, in order to give those who wish to learn enough space to do so. Please bring your own rope, and a partner. You are welcome to post looking for partners in the events. There will be practice rope, but there is a great need and interest in the community and it will be first come-first served.
We are asking a $5 entry fee. Money raised over the amount to rent the space will be used to pay the teachers, to fund practice rope to share, and to eventually bring in guest presenters. Please bring cash. We will have a Square for credit cards just in case, but they do take a cut.
We will have the use of hard points!! That means we can teach to suspension if people would like that, and if WE think they are ready. Skill will be evaluated carefully on an individual basis. Suspension is not easy on the top or the bottom, and both must be approved.
We will be requesting that everyone who has not already sign a Stitch of Trouble general waiver with an emergency contact for our use. Rope work, especially suspension, comes with risks, and waivers are standard for rope conferences, classes, and parties.
Please remember, standard etiquette in kink spaces is that you do not touch other people or their toys without express consent. Those who do not respect others will be warned and blacklisted.
The last half hour of every two hour class will be a demonstration of either an advanced technique or how you can apply the skills you learned in class to do fun and sexy things. This month Trouble will be suspending and torturing Stitch!
About the presenters: A Stitch of Trouble is a teaching and performing duo based in the Twin Cities. They specialize in performance suspension. They rely on some awesome people to help make classes and performance happen, and our junior rigger Sage teaches the basic newbie skills at our classes.
