The Guerrilla Girls — famous for exposing sexism, racism, and corruption in the art world — are taking over the Twin Cities (www.ggtakeover.com). This multigenerational panel will discuss the influence of activism and feminism on their practice. Moderated by Jane Blocker, UMN Art History Chair. Panelists include Lynn Lukkas, UMN Art Department Chair, Christine Baeumler, UMN Associate Professor of Art, Guerrilla Girl Frida Kahlo, and UMN MFA candidates Nooshin Hakim Javadi and Bianca Pettis. This event is co-presented with the Office for Equity and Diversity - University of Minnesota and the WAM Collective.
