Run-of-the-mill gay bar
I wouldn't go as far as to call the 19 Bar a dump. It has been around for awhile, so it's obviously not shiny and new. The patrons are a mix of young and old. For the younger crowd, it seems to be the place to start the weekend partying before heading out to the Saloon. The 19 Bar is also a nice option as a place to grab a drink and play pool during the week. Don't expect much eye candy (unless I'm there of course).
what a '"fun" dump
I lived n mpls from 79-90...the "19" was truly a fun DUMP....if you are looking for snotty uppity queens this isn't the place 4u...but if u are lookin 4 a sleazy fun time...the "19" can't be topped!!
don't bother
Bette Davis said it best, "What a dump", gay bars are supposed to be happy, fun places, this place is like a bad dream...
Always good times at 19
I live within walking distance to the 19. It feels like a small-town bar with mainly locals. The music is from a jukebox and there's lots of pool and darts. Cheap drinks! Fun place to chill and hang out with people you already know.
