How to escape boredom while visiting family this holiday season
Lush Bar Does Not Serve Gay Asians
I stood at the bar as a gay Asian man with money in hand to buy a drink on a slow weeknight. I patiently waited for over 10 minutes. The female and male bartenders totally ignored me who was standing 3 feet from them. Not a single bartender would even say hello even when I smiled at them. I finally felt defeated and left. I went back and asked my white friend to go get me a drink. He came back with my drink within a minute.
This mayorship... it's an elected position ??
Don't care about their customers
Bar is Ok. Drinks are good. But any place that charges you for water (no glasses of water given after a certain time), has no regard for their customers. I dropped $60 on drinks over a two hour period, asked for a glass of water and was told I had to spend $3.00 on a bottle as they "couldn't give me s glass of water". Too bad I won't be going back!
sunday brunch
I've only been to Lush on sunday mornings for breakfast and mimosas... Always been a good time with the slightly older set, but very attractive crowd..
...not so good
The drinks are way overpriced! Their web site says Fridays are 3 for 1 from 4 - 9 pm but when we arrived at 8 pm they said the special was over. In the past they overcharged my credit card but we thought we'd give them another try. Not again. Oh... And most of the bartenders working were crabby and didn't smile once, except for one cute guy.
Fun place
I like Lush, but it is too far from the rest of the downtown bars. There is a good crowrd at times. It is a good alternitive to the 90's and Saloon. Sometimes it takes awhile to get served, so just be prepared for that (order 2 drinks at once if it is really busy so you don't have to wait for a cocktail).
