Wilde Roast is a lovely cafe with nice (overpriced) food and beverages. Be warned, this place is not a coffee shop. It is not setup to welcome students with laptops and textbooks. The tables (for two) aren't even large enough to place a laptop and a book on. Wilde Roast is much more appropriate as a place to take a date or a friend and chat for awhile. Also, after 6 p.m. the lights are dimmed and the internet is turned off. If you're looking for a gay-friendly coffee shop environment, I would suggest Spyhouse in Uptown or the Dunn Bros in Loring Park.

Victorian cafe at the corner of Central and Hennepin in NE Minneapolis. Wilde Roast has delicious coffee and espresso drinks, gourmet food, great wine and unbelievable desserts. Come to study or to socialize, Wilde Roast is the best place to hang out ever. All hail to the cafe so pretentious that they have crystal chandeliers in their restrooms.
