It was okay

I was under the impression that there would be more gay people there. I went on a Saturday night, and there only seemed to be about 5 gay people and 50 straight people. Which is fine, I'm just not sure why it's advertised as being a gay establishment on here. The food was good and the staff was friendly. It just wasn't quite what I was expecting. I guess I just miss Vera's Café.

Service is poor, and the food is overpriced. However, the food is delicious!

Low key spot, great location, average food, below average service.

I stopped at the Wilde Roast one day for lunch last week for my first time. It has been recommended by friends as a nice place to eat, quiet, and friendly. As was most everybody else in there at the same time as me, I was working on stuff for my job, laptop, phone, and paper spread all over my table. Much to my surprise, I had to submit my order and pay at the counter when arriving, I was given a sign for my table, and later a person from the kitchen brought my lunch. I didn't get my drink until I was done eating and then had to ask for it. Anyway, it is a lousy way to serve the customers and therefore, I'm not sure I'll return, at least for lunch.

So gay. And so pleasant.

The autographed pictures on the wall seem like a gay Who's Who. Don't worry. This is a no-bitchiness zone in an interesting Minneapolis neighborhood. Breakfast is their best - the breakfast burro is incredibly delicious. Coffee is very good. I think they could make any coffee drink you could imagine, and I bet it would be good. It can get crowded, and the crowd includes families...but honestly, who wouldn't like it here?
