Today (12/13/2016), friend, up-and-coming drag star, and fellow LUSH employee Brandon Gutzmer along with friends and LUSH regulars Micah Tyler Morgan and Ria Morgan suffered a catastrophic house fire. The word is that damage was severe and extensive and that they've lost pretty much everything. While final details are not yet known as they're still being interviewed by Minneapolis Fire Department officials, Brandon, Micah, and Ria got out with pretty much just the clothes on their backs.

Today (12/13/2016), friend, up-and-coming drag star, and fellow LUSH employee Brandon Gutzmer along with friends and LUSH regulars Micah Tyler Morgan and Ria Morgan suffered a catastrophic house fire. The word is that damage was severe and extensive and that they've lost pretty much everything. While final details are not yet known as they're still being interviewed by Minneapolis Fire Department officials, Brandon, Micah, and Ria got out with pretty much just the clothes on their backs.
While insurance can cover some of the loss, it will take time and it won't cover every loss. It won't come through in time for Christmas gifts to be re-purchased, nor will it help with Brandon's lost wages as a renter. Tomorrow would have been a loss for Brandon, as he is understandably not able to work while he deals with the details. We aren't going to let that happen, though. To that end I am donating 100% of my share of tips tomorrow to Brandon so that he doesn't lose out on his income.
In addition to that, LUSH is very generously giving proceeds from all $7 Absolut cocktails sold from 7pm to close to support Brandon, Micah, and Ria through their recovery from this catastrophic fire.
Of course, there'll still be Sassy Lassy trivia at 7pm and Drag Queen karaoke at 9pm, so there'll be plenty of fun to stick around for and in support of a good cause!
(I really hope to see you all there, but fear not, if you can't make tomorrow night there will be a second, much larger fundraiser on Sunday evening at 7pm. Our queens have come together to host a benefit show! More details to come on that event soon.)
