Rather than a traditional gallery show, teams of our collective members will be creating new pieces live on the spot in the gallery for this one-night-only event! Live art making will include: - two large scale paintings - an interactive installation/performance piece - live pewter casting - live leather tooling - live t-shirt printing - a $5/5 minutes portrait station - several video streams from out of state and international members creating new work ... Formed on the heels of 2015's hit group art show, Strange Girls Never Die, our Minneapolis-based women-trans-femme+ group is open to ciswomen, transwomen, femmes, non-binary, and genderqueer folks who identify as Strange Girls. Our Conspiracy currently consists of over 60 inaugural members with a variety of creative backgrounds, including visual arts, tattooing, music, performance art, skilled trades, crafts, and arts organizing. With new members being added daily, locally, nationally, and internationally, we are starting a revolution to unite Strange Girls the world over. Beyond being a supportive, safe, respectful zone for creativity, A Conspiracy of Strange Girls exists to promote collaboration between artists, with the larger community, and with organizations that promote causes near and dear to our collective hearts.
