Green Line Checklist Food Tour: Bakeries and Buns

Experience the faces and flavors along University Avenue with The Heavy Table team, who recently completed their "Green Line Checklist" blog series exploring the restaurants, shops and food trucks of the light rail corridor. On this morning tour through the Little Mekong neighborhood, taste familiar and lesser-known baked goods and BBQ treats at Trung Nam French Bakery, Silhouette Bakery & Bistro and more. Tour starts at Mai Village Restaurant, 394 University Avenue W., St. Paul, and includes some stairs and up to two miles of walking on uneven terrain. Presented in partnership with the Heavy Table and the Asian Economic Development Association. The tour features food specially selected by Heavy Table critics and restaurant owners, many of which cannot be modified to accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions.
