Community Forum: Combatting LGBTQ Youth Homelessness

COMBATTING LGBTQ YOUTH HOMELESS COMMUNITY FORUM ON SEPT 12 @ 7PM On any night in Minnesota, more than 4,000 youth are homeless and on their own. They are disproportionately youth of color and identify as LGBTQ. Many are victims of violence and abuse. For most, their families have faced multigenerational poverty, systemic oppression and barriers. How can we begin to serve and support the most vulnerable youth in our community. Please join us Monday, September 12 at 7:00pm in the Chapel as we host Ryan Berg, Program Manager for the ConneQT Host Home Program sponsored by Avenues for Homeless Youth and author of No House to Call My Home: Love, Family, and Other Transgressions who will share his story and about the many opportunities available to provide care and support for youth experiencing homelessness.
