Un-Learning Jealousy in Ethical Non-Monogamy

People who practice ethical non-monogamy experience a unique set of relationship dynamics. Jealousy is normal and we expect it, but sometimes it can get toxic and overpowering In this workshop, we'll learn how to use elements of jealousy to benefit our relationships, rather than threaten them. When jealousy is grounded mindfully in communication and introspection, it can be an opportunity to build strength and trust with partners. Participants can expect to walk away from this event with concrete communication tools and mindfulness exercises to help navigate jealousy openly and assertively. This event was so popular back in March, we're doing it again. (And if this one sells out, we'll do it a third time!) Seating is limited and first-come, first-served, so we suggest you arrive early (especially if you have unique seating requirements). For everyone's safety and comfort, attendance at store events is limited to 40 people. ABOUT THE PRESENTER Carise Rotach-Beard, MA, LMFT Carise is a Minneapolis-based licensed psychotherapist specializing inpeople who identify within the polyamorous, kink-affiliated, and queer communities and affirms all models of relationships. Carise has dedicated a portion of her practice to educating health professionals and the general community regarding ethical non-monogamy dynamics. She works from the belief that sexuality is multifaceted, particularly when more than two are involved, but can be navigated with confidence allowing for a person to experience richness and the intimacy they desire. SMITTEN KITTEN EVENTS All of our in store events are held in our Minneapolis store at 3010 Lyndale Ave in Uptown. This event is free to the public. (We think everybody should have access to high quality sex education regardless of their financial situation. We cover tuition for all attendees whenever possible.) Seating is limited so we suggest you arrive 15-30 minutes early, especially if you have special seating requirements. Our in store events are well attended by an incredibly diverse audience. When we say that everyone is welcome, we mean it! People of all genders, orientations, ages and abilities are encouraged to come, regardless of relationship status or style. Events are non-explicit and non-sexual. That means that although the content includes information about sex, no sexual activity takes place. All demonstrations and other learning tools, images and props are of an educational nature.
