Grand Rounds Bike Tour–Queer Edition Vol. II

*Weather Permitting* This is part one of a two-part bike tour of the Grand Rounds Scenic byway in Minneapolis, featuring the city's lakes. Approximate distance is 30 miles covering the mid-lower section of the trail. Specific route includes the Midtown Greenway, the Mississippi West Bank, Lake Nokomis, Lake Harriet, Lake Calhoun, and Lake of the Isles. Starting and ending location is the Freewheel Bike Shop located in midtown Minneapolis along the greenway route. Map: http://wwwdocs.minneapolismn.gov/bike/index.html MEETING TIME: 8:00am DEPARTURE TIME: 8:30am The ride will be set at a moderate pace (12 mph) over the span of 3 hours. This is a no-drop ride. We will take three scheduled stops, with two snack breaks and a lunch break. Our scheduled lunch stop will be Sisters' Sludge Coffee and Cafe, but you are welcome to pack your own lunch as well.
