Every book eventually comes to its last page. Every movie eventually has its closing credits. I knew eventually Ti-Nea’ and I both would want to explore different avenues; pursue other opportunities. Every book eventually comes to its last page. Every movie eventually has its closing credits. I knew eventually Ti-Nea’ and I both would want to explore different avenues; pursue other opportunities. So it came to no surprise to me when Ti-Nea’ recently made the decision to leave “Sparkle.” Being Ti-Nea’s friend for almost two decades, I respect her decision.
Just as Ti-Nea’ made the decision to leave, I’ve made the decision to stay. To me, it was quite simple: I still have a lot more sparkle to spread. And so, perhaps, this book has another chapter; this movie has a sequel. Perhaps the "show must go on." “Ti-Nea’ and Mary Brewster Present Sparkle” will become, simply, “Mary Brewster Presents Sparkle.” The concept of “Sparkle” will not change. I’ll still be twirling the second Saturday of each month at the Town House Bar. I’ll still have a rotating cast, featuring the best entertainers in the Twin Cities and beyond. I’ll still end each show with a special song to “pay forward” all of your sparkle.
So join me on Saturday, July 12th, 10pm at the Town House Bar, for Sparkle Presents: "The Show Must Go On!".....the next chapter.....the sequel.
Special guests include:
Anita Rivera
Dotti West
Gucci Velour
Yana Falana
Zekira Zabertini
During the show, I'll be performing a special song to benefit the Minnesota Red Ribbon Ride. $$$ collected will be used to support my friends participating in the four day, nearly 300 mile bike ride July 17th - July 20th. "The RRR" generously benefits: The African American AIDS Task Force, The Aliveness Project, Clare Housing, Hope House of St. Croix Valley, Minnesota AIDS Project, Park House, One Heartland and Rural AIDS Action Network.

Mary Brewster Presents: "SPARKLE"; the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Town House Bar.
With almost twenty years of stage experience, Mary Brewster knows exactly what it takes cook up a show at the Town House. A bit of pizazz. A trace of comedy. A tad of razzle dazzle. A smidge of old school. A hint of glitter. A pinch of high energy. A dash of sequins. Add to it a cast featuring some of the greatest entertainers in the Twin Cities (and beyond), and you've got SPARKLE.
Are you ready to get your SPARKLE on?
