Memorial Service for Elaine Pratte "Miss Elaine" May 10th 1943 - September 23rd 2013 complications from lung Disease and emphysema Please join us this Sunday October 13th from 12pm - 2pm up in the beautiful Historic Wesley Sanctuary located upstairs of the daily AA meeting Beyond Jitters. 101 East Grant street. Downtown Mpls. Please help spread the word, Elaine touched thousands by attending AA meetings for twenty years, she was all about welcoming the newcomers and making them feel a part of something bigger. The Historic Wesley Center is lending us the Sanctuary at no cost. Elaine survived solely by her Sober family, which for the last 20 years was Beyond Jitters. When you arrive you will be given a Gladiola to place in the Vase located next to her picture. Jay Fleming will be on the piano, and a small choir from local singing groups to make this a beautiful day honoring Elaine's memory and hard work in our sober community. I will open up the service with the Serenity Prayer. Readings will include the AA preamble, and the 9th step promises. I will invite Elaine's caregivers up to share, then open it up for everyone to share 2-3 minutes. Sharing will end no later than 1:30pm. We will pass a basket around to help pay for printing and flowers what's left over will be given to Wesley Historic Center for the use of the Sanctuary. There will be coffee and snacks served until 2pm immediately following the memorial. Again please get the word out, there are a lot of people that would like to pay there last respects that do not visit Beyond Jitters on a regular basis for various reasons. We have full use of the entire parking lot for this service.
