What we say
Chic new addition to Loring Park
This brand new bar is on the other end of Hennepin from most of the gay bars, but it is quickly growing in popularity. A nice, clean, quiet bar, convenient to the Loring Park neighborhood.

This is definitely a cute space. Worth checking out. I live nearby and I always have a great time there. The bartenders & shot boy are damn cute and a lot of fun! (J.J. & Steve i think...?) I love the roman architecture and accents. Sure there are some things to be improved but its still new.

Ugh, would someone PLEASE open a worthwhile bar in this city? Gladius is another bad attempt at a gay bar. Who cares about a Roman theme? Certainly not the gay crowd. It's empty, the music sucks and is pumped from a bad sound system, and the drinks are overpriced. Maybe one of the local bar owners needs to take a trip to Chicago and get some ideas. Sidetracks-like, maybe?

Gladious is one of the newest gay bars to open in Minneapolis - having just opened in mid-sepetember it has some room for improvement. The place is a little sparse right now - but has a great space! There is basically a main bar and four private booth type areas as well as a larger space that is used for parties selecting bottle service. There is also a dance floor area in the back.
The place could use one or two plasma tv's - which may be added later - again this is a pretty new place. Located at the other end of Hennepin Avenue from where most of the bars are - it's nice to have a gay bar located in this spot. The bartenders were friendly and one of them very cute!
