You might think that an art center open since 1927 would have grown staid and stuffy by now, but the Walker Art Center remains an innovative venue for art that shapes and inspires individuals and communities. Walker contains an impressive collection of modern art, runs challenging digital arts galleries, and features a sculpture garden that is a Twin Cities favorite. Walker also hosts a number of films and lectures, including movie screenings in Loring Park.
